Typical First Year
Getting To Know You
…The Introductory Appointment
Our first appointment is a “Getting To Know You” meeting. It typically lasts about an hour and we will discuss your personal financial goals and concerns in depth.
We will ask questions pertaining to you and your family, your financial situation, and your values, dreams and anxieties. We will help you understand our services and determine if and in what manner our team can help you. Following this meeting, we will send you a proposal for services.
It’s All About You
…Our Discovery Process
Once you have accepted our proposal, we begin gathering all documentation to thoroughly understand your financial situation. We will delve deeper to address your goals and concerns, your sense of risk, and how you view your assets.
The Discovery Process may take several meetings to ensure we clearly understand how you feel about where you are now and where you want to go.
Planning For the Future
Once your information is analyzed, we will present our recommendations to you. In an interactive session, we will provide a detailed analysis of each area and explain the reasoning behind our advice.
A complex case may require additional follow-up meetings to be sure you have explored each issue and you are ready to move forward.
The next step is to put the plan into action. Our Financial Focus team can help you implement our recommendations, or you may implement on your own. We will advise you of the cost of ongoing services, whether we take charge of the implementation or provide assistance only when you need it.
Depending on the complexity of the advice and your situation, it may take some time to implement the recommendations.
Staying On Track
…Monitoring Your Progress
Reviewing cash needs, investment performance, and taking opportunities to reduce income taxes are part of ongoing services. Financial planning is a process. As changes occur in your life and in the financial markets, it may be necessary to make adjustments to your financial plan. It is important to understand the effect of these changes on your future goals.
Our “Annual Financial Planning and Investment Management” service provides our clients regular reviews and meetings to stay on track no matter what life throws at them.
